Mt. Annapurana is located in North-Central Nepal. It is the tenth highest mountain in the world. It was 1st scaled by the French Expedition team led by the Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal on the 3rd June 1950.It was the first mountain climbed among the 8 thousander.
The trekking to this historic mountains provides you scenic cultural exploration of Gurung communities residing on the Annapurna foothills.The typical villages of Ghandruk and Chomrung provides you insight to Gurung communities life style and culture. Annapurna Base Camp trek is a moderate trek that starts in Nayapul, a short drive of 2 hrs from Pokhara. You will pass through the dense forests and traditional villages of the Nepal's indigenous communities of Gurung and Magar.
The Annapurna base camp trek is popular among the trekkers in many aspects. The route to the Annapurna Base camp is very easy and local tea houses can be found very easily. This trekking region is also less expensive than the Everest Base Camp.
We have prepared 16 days itinerary to the Annapurana Base Camp with 4 nights stays in Kathmandu and 2 nights stays in Pokhara. You have also one full day sightseeing in Kathmandu which will let you know about the cultural attractions of Kathmandu.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Day 1: Arrival Transfer. Meet and assists in the airport and transfer to Hotel.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu city, Boudhanath and Swyambhunath.

Day 3: Drive Kathmandu-Pokhara (210 Kms, 6 hrs).

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/4905ft) Duration: 4 hours.

Day 5: Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) Duration: 7 hours.

Day 6: Hike to Poonhill (3180m/10430ft), Trek to Tadapani (2500m/8200ft) Duration: 6-7 hours.

Day 7: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m/6625ft) Duration: 5 hours.

Day 8: Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) Duration: 5 hours.

Day 9: Dovan to Deurali (3200m/10500ft) Duration: 4 hours.

Day 10: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m/13810ft) Duration: 5 hours.

Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) Duration: 7 hours.

Day 12: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda hot spring (1780m/5840ft) Duration: 6 hours.

Day 14: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu Duration: 6 hours.

Day 1: Arrival Transfer. Meet and assists in the airport and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport you will be welcome by our representative and transfer to your hotel. You will be given briefing regarding your trip. Rest of the day is free at your own.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu city, Boudhanath and Swyambhunath
After breakfast, you will visit Kathmandu durbar square. It is also called the Hunuman Dhoka Durbar Square. It is the public square which contains ancient palaces, temples, statues and streets. After your visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, you will visit to Swayambhunath which is standing tall on a hill. There is mythological story associated with origin of Swyambhunath. Afterwards, you will visit Boudhnath Stupa which is the holiest place of Buddhists.

Day 3: Drive Kathmandu-Pokhara ( 210 Kms, 6 hrs)
After breakfast, Drive Kathmandu-Pokhara which is 210 km and takes near about 6 hours drive. You will drive through the villages and significant portion of your drive will be on the bank of Trisuli river which is also famous for the Rafting. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at you hotel. Rest of the day is free at your own.

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/4905ft) Duration: 4 hours
After breakfast, drive Nayapul which takes around 2 hours drive from Pokhara. Upon arrival at Nayapul, you will start your trek to Thikedhunga. We cross Modi khola today. After 4 hours of trek we can reach to Tikhe Dhunga.

Day 5: Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) Duration: 7 hours
After breakfast, trek to Ghorepani. It is small village with small shops and stalls for selling local product and craft. we can see Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range from the Ghorepani. It takes around 7 hours to reach Ghorepani from Tikhe Dhunga.

Day 6: Hike to Poonhill (3180m/10430ft), Trek to Tadapani (2500m/8200ft) Duration: 6-7 hours
Early in the morning hike to Poonhill, from Poonhill you can see spectacular view of Annapurna range, Mt Dhaulagiri , Mt Manaslu etc. After the view , return back for the breakfast at the hotel and further trek to Tadapani.

Day 7: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m/6625ft) Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast, trek to Chhomrong which is the biggest settlement of Gurung in this area.Chhomrong villages provides you best view of Mt.Annapurna South and Hiunchuli and the virgin peak Mt.Machhapuchre.

Day 8: Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast, we will trek down to Chhomrong Khola. Later we will reach Sinuwa Khola. Later we will enter to Upper Modi Khola valley. After lunch, we continue down to Bamboo. After 5 hours of walk from Chhomrong we will reach to Dovan.

Day 9: Dovan to Deurali (3200m/10500ft) Duration: 4 hours
After breakfast trek to Deurali. It takes around 4 hours to reach Deurali.

Day 10: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m/13810ft) Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast, trek to ABC. Today we will reach our destination. It takes around 5 hours to reach ABC from Deurali.

Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) Duration: 7 hours
Early in the morning hike to ABC, the main highlight of the trek and later trek down to Bamboo.

Day 12: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda hot spring (1780m/5840ft) Duration: 6 hours
Today's walk will be lots of up and down. The nice scenic walk will lead us to the Jhinu Dada where natural hot spring is located. Spring bath will give us feeling of rejuvenation.

Day 13: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) Duration: 5 hour walk
After breakfast depart from the Jhinu Danda. We will walk through right bank of Modi Khola. Later we will reach to Birethati and finally to Nayapul. Drive further 2 hours to reach Pokhara.

Day 14: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu Duration: 6 hours
After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu which takes 6 hours.

Day 16: Departure transfer
Transfer to airport in time for your outbound flight.
