Mt. Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world with the height 8586m. It lies in the border between Sikkim and Nepal. The Kanchenjunga area is very rich in wildlife animals such as snow leopard, Tibetan wolf and red panda etc. It is also said that 40 species of Rhodendrons are available in the Kanchenjunga region.
The inhabitants of this region are Limbu, Gurung, Rai,sherpas etc.

While doing the Kanchenjunga base camp, you will get the opportunity to see the third tallest mountain in the world. It is located in the far-eastern corner of Nepal. Out of 14 eight thou sanders in the world, Mt.Kanchenjungha is also one of them. The Kanchenjungha trekking is the 24 days trekking. It starts from the Suketar. There is charter flight available to Suketar. The kanchenjungha trekking is less crowed as compared to the other trekking areas.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m / 4,264 ft)
Meet and assist at Kathmandu airport and transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation
Half day sightseeing of the Kathmandu city where you can see the monuments from 12 century. It is also called Hanuman Dhoka. It is a public squares which consists of ancient palaces, temples and statues etc. Later you will visit Boudhnath Stupa which is very famous religious place for Buddhist.

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Suketar (2420m / 7938ft), trek to Lalikharka (2265m / 7,431ft)
After breakfast, you will be transfer to Kathmandu Airport to take flight to Suketar. It will be approx. 45 minutes flight. After landing in Suketar, further trek to Lalikharka

Day 4: Lalikharka to Khesewa (2120m / 6,955ft)
After breakfast, trek to Khesewa. Untill Phundrawa it is an easy descent. From Phundrawa we will climb up. We will pass through forests and small villages.

Day 5: Khesewa to Mamankhe (1785m / 5,856ft)
After breakfast,We will trek to Kabeli Khola. Before, crossing a small stream we will passes through the forest. On the way we can see spectacular view of the Himalayan range. We will also pass through the several small villages.

Day 6: Mamankhe to Yamphudin (2080m / 6824ft)
Today we will walk along the side of Kabeli Khola. It will be mostly uphill. On the way today we will see beautiful waterfall. Later we will cross a small suspension bridge. On the way, we will cross many settlement before reaching Yambphudin.

Day 7: Yamphudin to Tortong (2995m / 9,826ft)
Today we will walk through the path used by villagers and we will pass many terraced farms and green meadows. We will trek along the Amgi Khola.

Day 8: Tortong to Cheram (3870m / 12,696ft)
After breakfast, we climb steadily to Cheram. We will trek right side of the simbuwa khola. We will walk on beautiful Lalung Valley. On the way we will pass through thick Rhodendron forest and enjoy the beautiful Yalung Glacier.

Day 9: Cheram: Acclimatization and Rest
Today is our rest day. But in order to acclimatize we do some hike around the Cheram. Or we will visit some viewpoint nearby.

Day 10: Cheram to Ramchaur (Ramche) (4580m / 15,026ft)
After breakfast, we will trek to Ramche. We will climb sometime before reaching the edge of Yalung Glacier. It is a pleasant walk on a valley trail. We will see spectacular views of mountains. We will also pass through Lapsang village.

Day 11: Ramchaur (Ramche) to Yalung Base Camp (4500m), back to Cheram
After breakfast, we will walk towards the valley. On the way, we will see Oktang Monastery. When we trek further, we will reach the Yalung Base Camp. The view from the basecamp are spectacular.

Day 12: Cheram to Sele La (4290m / 14,074ft)
The today trekking is full of passes. We will pass Sinelapche Bhanjyang. Then we will pass Mirgin La Pass. We walk further and reach Sinion La pass which is not very far. Then we will climb to Sele pass. We will cross the pass.

Day 13: Sele La to Ghunsa (3595m / 11,794)
After breakfast, we will trek to Tangbgharma Danda. We will see chorten marked by prayers flag. From here steep trails starts. We pass rhododendron, birch and pine forest before reaching Ghunsa. Ghunsa is a beautiful village mostly inhabitant by Buddhist.

Day 14: Ghunsa to Kambachen (4050m / 13,287ft)
After breakfast, we will trek further to Kambachen. We will walk through the river bank. On the way we will pass through rhododendron and pine forest. At Rampuk kharka we will cross the bridge. Mt Jannu is seen on the way. Later, we will arrive Kambachen.

Day 15: Kambachen to Lhonak (4780m / 15,682ft)
After breakfast early in the morning, we trek through rocky fields on the hillside along the river bank. At Ramtang monastery we will cross the bridge. We will pass through the landslide area and we will descend to river and we will finally arrive at Lhonak

Day 16: Kanchenjunga base camp, overnight at Pangpema (5143m / 16,873ft)
Today we will reach our destination, the Kanchenjungha base camp. We will descend towards the KBC after reaching Pangpema. The view from KBC is spectacular. Mt Kanchenjungha, Jannu Himal and other mountains can be seen from here . Again trek back to Pangpema.

Day 18: Lhonak to Ghunsa (3475m / 11,400ft)
From Lhonak, we will move down all the way to Ghunsa via Kambache.

Day 19: Ghunsa to Amjilosa (2308m / 7,572ft)
After breakfast, we will descent towards Phale. We will cross several Manes and monastery nearby. We will reach phale by crossing forest. We will reach Gayabla after crossing bridge over Chhundatangka khola.

Day 20: Amjilosa to Chirwa (1270m / 4,166ft)
We will trek to Chirwa crossing Ghunsa khola, Sukatham. We will walk beside Ghunsa Khola till Sukathum. Before reching Chirwa, we will cross Tamor Nadi.
Overnight at Lodge in Chirwa.

Day 21: Chirwa to Phurumbu (1549m / 5,082ft)
As we descending down, settlement starts to thicker and thicker. we will pass Sinwa. From Sinwa, we will descent and cross over the Sisne Khola. Now we already enter the Pathivara Trail.we will cross Yaphre Khola to reach Phurumbu.

Day 22: Phurumbu to Suketar
We are at the end of Kanchenjungha Trek. It takes 4-5 hours to reach the Pathivara trail

Day 23: Fly to Kathmandu
After breakfast, fly to Kathmandu.

Day 24: Free day at your own.
The whole day is free at your own for shopping and souvenir

Transfer to airport in time for the flight to your destination.
