Mardi Himal trek lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is one of the least visited trekking region of Nepal.
While doing this trekking one is able to see verdant forest, villages of ethnic community, terraced farms, dazzling rivers and the spectacular views of Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Hichuli mountains etc.
The interesting features of this trekking region are the trail makes small circuit to the base camp so that we don’t need back track over the same trail.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
Meet and assist at Kathmandu International airport by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at your own.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (800m)
After the breakfast, drive to Pokhara which is 200 kms away from Kathmandu and it takes around 6 hours to reach Pokhara. It will be an exciting drive as we will see scenic view of terraced rice field, eye catching landscape, Trisuli and Marshyangdi River and we will also see spectacular views of mountains. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at your hotel and the rest of the day is free to explore the Pokhara city.

Day 3: Drive to Phedi and Trek to Pothana (1925m, about 4 hours trek)
After breakfast, drive to Phedi and starts trek to Pothana. Till Dhampus trail is steep. After reaching Dhampus, the trail is quite smooth and easy walk till we reach Pothana.

Day 4: Trek to Forest Camp at Kokar (2600m) 4 hours walking
After breakfast, we will start trek and walk till Pitam Deurali from where the trail towards the Annapurna Base camp is separated. We will walk towards Kokar. The lodges at Kokar are quite basic and don’t even have dining room. We will even have the meals in the kitchen room. In many ways it can be compared with the home stay.

Day 5: Trek to Low Camp (3150m) 5 hours trekking
After breakfast, we will start our trek to Low camp. As we climb up the vegetation starts to change with more Rhodendron and the trees are covered with moss, lichen and trees ferns.

Day 6: Trek to High Camp (3700m) 4 hours trekking
After breakfast, we trek to High Camp. Once we ascend up, the tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated Rhodendron bushes. If we are lucky, we also able to see the Danphe (national bird of Nepal)

Day 7: Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) 4 hours trekking
Early in the morning we will start our excursion trip to Mardi Himal Trekking Base Camp. There is well managed trekking trail till the base camp of Mardi Himal. After walking 3- 4 hrs we will reach Mardi Himal Base camp from High camp. From here spectacular views of south face of Annapurna and all the peaks of sanctuary as well as Hiunchuli and Machhapuchre is seen. After spending some time in Base camp return back to High camp.

Day 8: Trek to Siding village (1750m) 6 hours walking
After breakfast, we will start our trek to Siding. We will take a different route from high camp so that it will lead us to Siding, which is very quiet place to stay.

Day 9: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara
From Siding we will walk out to road heading to Lumre.On the way we will pass the villages of Kalimati and Ghalel. Kalimati is mostly inhabitated by the Brahmin and Siding is mixed with the Bhramin and Gurung. At Lumre, we will find jeep to drive to Pokhara, It takes 2 hrs to reach Pokhara from Lumbre.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu. It takes around 6 hrs to reach Kathmandu.

Day 11: Sightseeing and afternoon shopping in Thamel
After breakfast, commence on half day sightseeing tour of Swyambhunath and Kathmandu city.

Day 12: Fly back to home
After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu International airport in time for the flight to your onward destination.
