Visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuwan International airport, Kathmandu or at any entry points in Nepal. The major entry point to Nepal from India is Kakarvitta, Birjung, Bhirahawa and Nepalgunj. The one and only entry point via Tibet is through Rashuwagadi located in Rasuwa district.
You can also get Nepal Visa through the Nepalese embassy, consulate general or any diplomatic mission nearby your location. The list of consulate general or diplomatic mission is given below.
A valid passport with validity at least 6 month is required. Visa fee can be paid in Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian dollar, Hongkong Dollar, Singapore dollar and Japanese Yen. Further, payment through credit card is also accepted.
Tourists visa Extension
It cost USD $ 30 or equivalent convertible currency to extend the visa for 15 days or the visa extension more than 15 days costs USD $ 2 per day.
The tourist visa can be extended for maximum 150 days in single year (January-December)

Gratis visa is given to national of SAARC countries and Chinese except Afghanistan. It is free of cost
- For Indian National
Indian national do not require visa to enter Nepal. However, they should carry any one of the following documents.
- Photo Identity card issued by Government Agency
- Voter Id with photo
- Ration card with photo
- The countries of following nationality don’t have luxury of getting visa upon arrival.
